Rooms With Impact is a staging and interior design firm owned and operated by Laurie Mattson.

Laurie understands that the main reason someone buys a home is emotional. A staged home allows buyers to emotionally connect to your home so that they can envision themselves living in it.

When she is wearing her designer hat, Laurie will work with you so that you fall back in love with your home.

Laurie is a national multi-award winning interior designer, stager, and Real Estate Staging Association (RESA®) approved instructor. And although winning awards is awesome, Laurie finds the most joy from watching her clients’ happy faces after she has transformed their home.

From conception through completion, Laurie and her team tailor each room specific to the client’s style and needs. Rooms with Impact creates unforgettable spaces in all of the homes that they touch.

Laurie calls Minnesota’s Twin Cities area home but also works on projects throughout the nation. Recent jobs have included residences in Minnesota, Maine, Florida, California, and private and resort condominiums in Baja Mexico. By integrating innovative and expressive design ideas, she has become one of the most sought-after interior designers, professional home stagers, and speakers in the local area and expanding market.

Whether styling spaces around a homeowner’s specific taste or staging to sell a home, Laurie transforms rooms from plain and ordinary to jaw-dropping and extraordinary masterpieces.

Why Choose Rooms With Impact?

Philanthropic Work

I wanted to share with you how cystic fibrosis touched my life and why I wholeheartedly support the Cystic Fibrosis community, specifically through the Breathe Easy Foundation.

You see, my family and I lost my two dear sisters to this horrible disease before they reached the tender age of 16. Even after all these years, the memory of their loss remains. I became determined that I would find an organization that is dedicated to helping eradicate this disease, in honor of my sisters and those who are still suffering…

If you are not aware, cystic fibrosis is a chronic, progressive genetic disease that adversely affects the respiratory and digestive systems in children and young adults. It is not an easy road for those who suffer from it and their families. Unfortunately, those with cystic fibrosis may not see their 30th birthday, as was the case with my sisters.

I’ve found solace in their passing through my association with the Breathe Easy Foundation. They are a dedicated group of individuals whose sole purpose is to help families pay for the medical, nutritional and emergency assistance that often times occurs due to the complications of cystic fibrosis.

I invite you to join me by supporting this wonderful organization. Your donation, no matter what amount, will allow all of us to join together to support those who are facing this unimaginable battle.

In appreciation,

"I've worked with Laurie for several years with a multitude of clients. She does a great job at taking the time to thoroughly go through several options with her clients and offer cost-effective solutions to get homes looking as perfect as possible."

"We had a great experience with Laurie the first time around and asked us to help us when we took on redoing our kitchen and updating the color palette of the house. The first time around she came up with some very creative designs for our master bedroom bathroom remodel. She is very easy to work with and doesn't hesitate to provide a variety of options that you may not have thought of or imagined would work together. We would work with her again!"
